Who is Villa Orleans?

We are 3 brothers from New Orleans,  two operate the villa.  One lives in San Diego.

Roberto is the artist.  He moved to Rincon Puerto Rico because Hurricane Katrina destroyed his business.  In New Orleans Roberto repaired antiques, built furniture and ran a frame shop as well.  He also worked for the Ogden Museum, and provided month long work shops for public school students in New Orleans.  Katrina changed all that.

His best works are his landscape surrealism.  He has the gift of painting something ordinary, and finding a way to twist it into something "a la Dali."  He runs the Secret Garden Fine Art Gallery .  You can see his works online.  He lives in a cottage we built (using Dummies for electricity, plumbing, and decks).  He built some of the furniture at the villa, and the decks.  He over saw the building of the cottage

Enrique is the therapist.  After Katrina he moved to California, and is now in San Diego.  He did the plumbing the the cottage and is our plumber when he visits.   He likes his work. He  provides therapy for our soldiers returning from Iraq. His work ties him down, and he doesn't visit often.

Luis is the gardener, photographer and web person at the villa.  He coordinated the 2 year renovating project to get the villa into shape.  Luis is an elementary school English teacher during the day, a gardener in the afternoon, and a web person at night.  He wrote the Villa Orleans and Secret Garden website, learning Photoshop, flash, search engine optimization and html along the way.

In New Orleans Luis wrote and directed plays in coffee shop theaters.  In New Orleans he wrote about 20 plays, directed and produced about 18.  He launched the stages of 4 coffee shop theaters.  He moved to Puerto Rico years before Katrina to finish a book, a still unfinished book.

We are Villa Orleans.  One last thing, we're committed to working with the stray animal problem in Puerto Rico.  We support ARF in Rincon, and Villa Michelle in Mayagüez. In Villa Orleans we have 2 strays we've adopted.  Luis has 5 adopted dogs in his home in Mayagüez.

We're working on another website to unify the animal rights groups on island.
