Recent paintings by artist Roberto Ortiz encompass a variety of styles and subjects. In this new body of work the artist includes depictions of realistic landscapes found in Puerto Rico, fantasy floral scenes, surreal landscapes and a modern abstract style. This new series of work began in January, 2007 and is inspired by a recent move to Puerto Rico. "Jumping from one style to another helps keep the painting process challenging and exciting. I expect to continue on this path of exploration inspired by my natural surroundings."
